I talked with a very nice prospect a few minutes ago, she was very interested in our business but wasn't sure about the timing, lot of issues going on. We continued to talk about 30 minutes and was about the best conversation I've had in a while, we connected on so many different things and laughed, just very pleasant. She did not join us at this point, but we became friends here (facebook) and she is going to keep each email she gets and asked that I continue to "bother" her with more and keep her in mind.
Lesson being, just because you're talking with a prospect about business, it shouldn't have to be all business. Create a relationship with someone that you feel connects with you, keep following up with them and show interest in them, not them as a "prospect". It makes things more enjoyable and builds friendships, who later may become business partners~pm

Great post! I totally agree with relationship building first. It should happen in all business interactions.
Agreed
Everything really is all about relationships, isn't it. Nice blog post. Thanks!
