Working At Home With Little One's

How do you handle your little one while you're working at home? There has to be a good balance with time if you are a home business owner that has small children. You obviously don't want to plant them in front of the TV while you're working, and if they're not in school yet, you have a lot more time to fill for them while you get some work done. Find some educational toys and books for them, set up an area close to you where they can "work" also, it makes them feel included in what you're doing. My 4 year old is hooked on Lego's and they take up a lot of time building and taking apart, these are great toys also. Pick a quiet time for them to watch a movie or a show they like so you can make your calls. Practice writing, play word games, let them help you organize something in your office. Set up a schedule and let them help figure out the day, then reward them when they follow it. It's never too early to teach goal setting and rewards for meeting them! There are a lot of things you can do with them to create a peaceful balance. Remember, one of the main reasons you're working from home is to be with them~pm
