I'm sitting here thinking about all of the complaining we do in this country about EVERYTHING! Lately, it seems, everyone is just in an uproar about something, everyone is so uptight. All you hear is how our country is in the toilet. People are racist, they're lazy, everyone is entitled, the President is a jerk, the laws suck, the middle class always gets screwed, too much religion, not fair for gays, taxes are too high, there are no good jobs. It's never ending, if you think about it. I try to stay positive as much as I can, but holy Toledo, it's hard when you're surrounded by negative.
Not to say that any and all issues should not be a huge topic of conversation, honestly we have a lot of junk to fix here, but..
When did we all become so ungrateful for what we have?! We still live in one of the best places possible, we are free! Even with all of the crap and negativity we see, still we are pretty lucky! I guess this 4th of July weekend just made me think about this a bit more, or just maybe all of the junk we've been seeing lately!
If you really think about it, we have it made, still. We have our own businesses, for crying out loud! We can home school our kids if we choose, we can get all kinds of help from our government if needed, we have freedom of choice.
Just a bit of thought for you all this Independence weekend! I am still proud to be an American
