Negative Relationships

One of the hardest things to come to terms with is the realization that you may not have been, to someone, what you thought you had. Relationships are so hard sometimes. Friends, spouses, significant others, business partners. Even family sometimes. When you've always been there for someone through all of their really hard times, but somehow they aren't around for yours, it takes a toll on the relationship and growth. It's hard to be the one who is always supporting or standing up for someone when they're struggling, but they don't seem to be around for you.

If you're this friend, be proud! I know how hard those feelings of disappointment are, but if you've been the one who's always there, pat yourself on the back! Take pride in being a real, reliable and loving friend who put someone else before them, when ever needed. It's tough to feel one sided in a relationship and we usually overlook and sugar coat it since the other party is usually going through "stuff". At some point you just have to realize that the hurt feelings and one sided way may not be worth it. You've done your job.

If it's not making you happy and it's keeping your relationship from growing, it may be time to "bless and release". Always be your best, always be a good friend, always give support and love, but don't spend too much time on something that's negative or something that you're the only one putting an effort into. The best thing to always remember is the very first thing we ever learned in school, The Golden Rule.
Be happy always~pm
