Friday Food For Thought

When you're talking with a prospect how do you start out a call? Do you go right in with why you're calling or start off with small talk, asking questions and gathering info?
Remember to engage your prospects in a good conversation, start it out about them and what they're looking for or wanting, how long they've been searching.  People are much more comfortable with you knowing that you truly care about them rather than about what your intention is. You don't need to let them know how well you're doing or exactly what you do right off the bat, form a relationship with them first. Give them a little room to get to know you and feel comfortable being open with you first and let the conversation flow rather than trying to sell them on your greatness or your company's greatness. They'll find that out on their own.
Remember you're the messenger, not a sales person!~pm
